The Scott Sisters

The sisters were charged on December 24, 1993 by Scott County Sheriff’s Department in Mississippi, after they were arrested for an armed robbery they vehemently denied participating in. Though the cost of goods they were accused of stealing amounted to $11, in 1994 they were convicted after being implicated in the crime by three young men who confessed to the robbery, in exchange of a plea bargain that gave them 10 months each.

Even though one of the sentenced men signed an affidavit in 1998, admitting that the Scott sisters were not involved with the crime, they have been in prison since.
